Invertebrate Handling Sessions
There is nothing more exciting when you have seen lots of displays of weird and wonderful creepy crawlies than to actually be allowed to handle some of the amazing invertebrates that we display.
Our unique attraction at The Bug Parc will introduce you to so many animals that you have never seen before that your day will be remembered for years to come.
Nothing makes the day more memorable than being able to get up close and personal with some of our minibeasts.
Whether you wish to handle the animals or you just want to accompany someone who does, you will still need to book a ticket as places are limited.
We have tried to make a handling experience available to as many visitors as possible throughout the day. However, during the peak season, it is likely that we will have more visitors than there are places available in the handling sessions.
So... please book your places online in the timed slots.
Once the handling sessions have been booked for a given day there will be no further opportunity for handling the animals. Booking your handling experience can be done when you book your Parc entry tickets.
The handling experience will start with a short film about the Parc and how it came to be, followed by a list of what you can and cannot do when holding the animals.
Then comes the fun bit, you will experience handling five or six tropical invertebrates during the session in a small group.
The keeper will talk to you about the animal you are holding and answer any questions you may have about it.
And of course there will be plenty of photo opportunities!
At the end of the session, hand washing facilites will be available.
